What to Expect from Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 6 Pro: A Closer Look at the Design
Samsung is set to unveil its latest smartwatch offerings, the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro and Galaxy Watch 6, alongside its next generation of foldable smartphones. Recent rumors suggest that the Galaxy Watch 6 series will be powered by a new Exynos W980 SoC, and that the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro will feature a highly requested design element: the rotating bezel.

According to well-known tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce), the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro’s design will closely resemble that of the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, featuring narrow borders and the return of the rotating bezel. Samsung had abandoned the physical bezel for the Galaxy Watch 5 series, opting for a digital version instead. The reason behind the decision to bring back the rotating bezel has not been revealed.
Both the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Pro are expected to come with a curved glass design, unlike their predecessors which had a flat design. This should make the devices more comfortable to wear and aesthetically pleasing.
The Galaxy Watch 5 series was launched during the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event in August of last year, with prices starting at Rs. 27,999 for the base model and Rs. 44,999 for the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. The latter runs on WearOS 3.5-based One UI Watch 4.5 and features a 1.4-inch Super AMOLED display with 450×450 pixels resolution, as well as a BioActive sensor and temperature sensor.
Samsung has not yet confirmed any details about the Galaxy Watch 6 series, but with the expected launch date drawing near, more leaks and rumors are sure to surface in the coming weeks. Smartwatch enthusiasts will have to wait a little longer to see if the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro and Galaxy Watch 6 will live up to the hype.
